Cell phone footage chronicled over 18 months of Civil Conflict in Sudan has been put together in a compilation by a member of the Sudanese Armed Forces. The video shows several instances of combat with RSF troops throughout various stages of the still on-going and under-mentioned and barely reported on war in Sudan. One of the worst and best things to come out of the internet is the fact that everyone now has a voice. The shared experiences of the human collective can now live online in perpetuity on a recorded space that will live for as long as our species has the means to produce electricity. While a majority of what you see day-to-day on the internet is entertainment based, or your friends posting their dinner on Instagram, content like this is out there in the world where it can be found freely by anyone. You, sitting in your living room, can now watch war unfolding in real-time on the opposite side of the globe. For some people, this is much needed perspective and a showcase of the reality of armed conflict. For others, this is unfortunately a means to hem and haw at the actions of people living in a world they will hopefully never have the displeasure of experiencing.
