GoPro footage of Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade conducting a counterattack in Kharkiv. Several months ago, Russian forces launched an offensive in Kharkiv Oblast, attempting to push their lines far enough forward to place the city within reach of their artillery tubes. The effort has been painstakingly slow and has cost the Russians dearly in terms of men and materiel. Ukraine’s surprise thrust has cast the Russian rear into disarray, and several days ago, the beleaguered Ukrainian defenders in Kharkiv took advantage of the chaos to launch a counterattack and to drive the Russians back. In this clip we can see the Ukrainian grunts dismounting their APC under fire and advancing into a tree line.
