After almost 11-years of controversy, Six Days in Fallujah has officially been announced with a 2021 release date. It's time for one moment of truth.
Six Days in Fallujah was first announced in 2009 where it was met with immediate backlash, but not from the combat veterans who were there. Gaming Journalists initially rallied against this game, stating that it was too sensitive of a topic for anyone to make a video game about. On the flip side of that coin, both combat veterans of Fallujah, and other combat veterans wanted this game to proceed forward and tell our stories through interactive media.
It looks like that was enough to spur Victura Inc. to go forward with telling the story of the Marines and Soldiers who fought in Fallujah back in 2004. I for one, am extremely grateful that they made the decision, and will be playing this game, because the story of the Marines and Soldiers who fought in Fallujah deserves to be told, and it deserves to be heard.
