Abandoned Stryker Gutted by FPV Drone

Drone footage released by Russian sources shows the discovery and destruction of an abandoned Ukrainian Stryker in the Kursk region of Russia. The drone was able to penetrate the vehicle's armor through a hatch on the rear of the vehicle that was left open while the crew was leaving it behind. This is a simple training issue. Even under duress, troops must understand the importance of closing hatches. Regardless if you are abandoning a vehicle permanently, or hoping to recover it at a later date. You shut the doors on the vehicle before you leave it. If the Ukrainian had shut the door here, the FPV drone would not have been able to penetrate the vehicle's armor. They would have instead had to have resorted to manually destroying the vehicle with more expensive resources like artillery, anti-tank guided missiles, or the Russians would have been forced to expend multiple FPV drones to further disable the vehicle. Outside of this, with them unable to destroy the vehicle outright with something as simple as an FPV drone, the Russian forces may have been tempted to dispatch a patrol to the area themselves to recover it. This would have opened up opportunity attacks against those Russian troops. Bottom line, close the doors on your vehicles kids. It's important.
