AC-130 Gunship Lights Up NVA Convoy on the Ho Chi Minh Trail

Historic footage recorded in 1968 shows an AC-130 gunship lighting up an NVA convoy in Laos while it travels along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. This title is not a typo, you're looking at genuine AC-130 footage from Vietnam.

The AC-130 Gunship first arrived in Vietnam in September of 1967 as part of the Gunship II program. Initially, it saw combat in Laos and Vietnam before being shipped around the country to support American troops throughout the area of operations. This footage was recorded in 1968 in Laos, and the targets are an NVA supply convoy operating along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

What's amazing to me about this footage is that it was recorded just 23 years after the end of World War Two.
