Footage released by Russian sources shows that air-to-air combat is back on the table in the current state of modern warfare. It's just now miniaturized and features drones getting on top of one another to deliver micro-payloads that damage the other aerial combat vehicles making them no longer useable. We're in for a really weird future battlespace that's going to be a hybrid of drone dog-fighting and automated AI-powered systems trying to destroy one another.
