Camouflaged T-80 Pummeled by Drones

Footage of a Russian T-80 punished by FPV drones until it detonates in a ball of fire. To their credit, the crew has taken pains to conceal the tank in the foliage, and the tank holds up better than most Russian-manufactured death traps, shrugging off several hits before going up in flames. The attempt at camouflage is commendable, and the Russians appear to have improved their game in regard to protection and concealment. One wonders if the effort is worth it. Is improved camouflage making Russian vehicles more difficult to detect and improving survivability? Is there any way to investigate and quantify this? As a young lieutenant I used to scoff when our company first sergeant insisted that vehicle crewmen wear camouflage paint – would it make us that much easier to detect while riding about on a fourteen-ton vehicle belching diesel exhaust? But perhaps it is time to rethink that position.
