Park CCTV footage in Kremenchuk Ukraine captures the moment civilians are forced to run for cover as debris from a Russian strike on the local mall comes flying in their direction.
This footage was released today, just one day after the mistaken Russian strike on the Kremenchuk Mall which left at least 18 civilians dead with another 36 missing. As firefighters sort through the rubble of the mall, the city of Kremenchuk in central Ukraine declared a day of mourning. Russian sources say that the explosion at the mall was caused by a strike at a storage depot for Western weapons in Kremenchuk. Russians also claim that the detonation of stored ammunition there caused the fire at the nearby mall.
According to Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava region military, at least 58 people were injured in the attack, with 25 of them being admitted to intensive care at the hospital in Kremenchuk.
