Footage released to Facebook by members of the Brave Heart Army and several other Anti-Junta factions in Myanmar shows a classic IED initiated ambush against a military convoy near the city of Monywa. Footage like this, while seemingly boring, paints an interesting picture of the on-going insurgency and Civil War in Myanmar that is worth keeping an eye on. For anyone interested in insurgent warfare, the groups here have successfully found a way to blend modern warfighting tactics with classic guerilla techniques to achieve outstanding success against a force that is, on paper, superior in every way.
