Interesting footage shows a Ukrainian drone-dropped munition that is able to blow a hole through the top of a Russian BMP armored infantry fighting vehicle.
We have seen several of these types of drone attack operations, but the effectiveness varies significantly from one instance to the next. Often, the munition only explodes superficially on or near its target without causing any meaningful damage. Then you have videos like this.
There are a number of factors that effect the outcome of the targeting operation. Munition type and hit location are important. While many of these modified grenades are limited in payload, they are usually constructed with some sort of shaped charge design that has an inherent steel-cutting property, so results like this aren't unexpected.
