Footage recorded back during the 2013 Battle for Deir ez-Zor Airport shows members of the Free Syrian Army utilizing an improvised stretched to rescue one of their wounded who is stranded under enemy fire.
We've seen videos like this in the past, but they normally come from professional military units. This video showcases the state of the Free Syrian Army towards the beginning of the Syrian Civil War when they were dominantly comprised of professional fighters who had defected from the Syrian Arab Army and the Syrian Police units.
