Popular GunTuber Scott DeShields from Kentucky Ballistics suffered a catastrophic failure of his RN-50 that nearly ended his life when a piece of the firearm's lower receiver pierced his throat and partially severed his jugular vein. This video, which is embedded from YouTube, is Scott recounting the events of that day, and explaining what happened on April 9th when his RN-50 exploded. There is also a brief clip from the footage that was filmed on April 9th when the firearm exploded.
Fortunately for Scott, he was filming that day with his father. The two of them together were able to get Scott to the hospital in a very expeditious manner, which probably saved Scott's life. Scott, if you're reading this, we're happy that you're still with us. Heal fast, and stick a thumb in it.
