Body Worn Camera footage from Houston Police recorded on November 17, 2022 captures an intense gunfight between a suspect armed with an AK-47 and two members of the Houston Police Department.
The events in this video began when two officers on patrol in Houston spotted a vehicle driving erratically at a high rate of speed. When they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the suspect tossed something out of his window, and began to try and evade police. After a short pursuit, the suspect crashed into a tree and immediately began to open fire on police through the windshield of his vehicle.
Officers responded by returning fire from the inside of their own vehicle with their service pistols. The suspect was struck twice, once in the arm and once in the leg. He was then transported to a nearby medical facility. Neither of the two responding officers were struck.
