Footage from insirgents in Gaza, likely Hamas or PIJ affiliates, record themselves rigging up an improvised explosive device. The footage then transitions to the detonation of the device against a column of Israeli Merkava tanks. However, an accurate assessment of the attack's effectiveness cannot be made from the footage provided. Something to note is the conical shape of the device itself, which suggests it may be a directional explosively formed penetrator (EFP) type which produces a jet of plasma that is capable of slicing through thick tank armor with ease.
