Iran unveiled, on Feb. 9, 2022, a new missile that uses solid fuel technology, claimed it has a range of 900 miles, and further stated that it can be used to target Israel and US military installations in the region.
The missile has been named the "Khaibar-buster" referencing a historical battle in which a Muslim army overran a Jewish fortress. Iran also claimed that the weapon can defeat missile/air defense systems, but didn't explain why or how.
Iran has continuously facilitated and launched rocket and drone attacks against the US Embassy in Baghdad and multiple US military bases across Iraq. They continue to deliver weapons to the Shia Houthi rebels in the ever-worsening humanitarian crisis that is the war in Yemen, and offer material support for anti Israel terror groups. Now they are brandishing new and capable missiles while making direct threats to use them against Americans.
Yet, the Biden Administration is currently attempting to rekindle an Obama-era agreement that would allow Iran to develop nuclear technology as long as they promise not to develop nuclear weapons... It would be almost unbelievable if reckless incompetence wasn't the consistent policy demonstrated by the current Executive administration.
In 2018, President Trump ended the Obama-Iran nuclear agreement to ensure Iran doesn't develop a nuclear arsenal and to add pressure on the Iranian regime to reign in their military support for foreign terror groups and militias across the Middle East and central Asia.
Israel said it would take matters into its own hands, should the current nuclear talks allow Iran to develop nuclear technology. Israel is located well within striking distance of Iran's various missile models.
