Footage recorded by Iranian Border Police shows them absolutely unloading on alleged Islamic State Fighters who were trying to infiltrate their way into Iran.
Due to the source of this footage, we cannot independently verify the validity of the claims made. According to the Iranian MOD, this footage was recorded in December of 2014. It shows Iranian Border Police absolutely unloading on what is allegedly a group of Islamic State infiltrators trying to make their way into Iran. The location of the recording was not released, and no relevant meta data could be taken from the video file to give us an idea of where the footage was actually recorded.
Again, due to the nature of the source, a country that has repeatedly sent us cease and desist emails, we cannot verify the legitimacy of this footage. We'll probably get another one for this specific post, at this point we're starting a wall collection just to hang them up on display. For all we know, this could be footage that was recorded in Syria by Hezbollah, and then later released by the Iranian Ministry of Defense. We simply don't know the answer.
All we can do is report the facts of what we know, and what we know about this footage is that tracers look cool, so here's a cool video of some dudes in the mountains shooting a lot of tracers at one specific spot.
