Israel Cripples Yemen's Main Port

In addition to the strikes that obliterated the nearby oil refinery, Israel also carried out precision strikes on Port Al Hudaydah's cargo cranes and other infrastructure, rendering the shipping yard useless. Israel effectively crippled Iran’s primary entry point for the provision of Iranian weapons and support to the Houthis. It will also have reverberating impacts on the Yemeni economy, which is already in shambles. The Israeli strikes come after months of repeated Houthi attacks against commercial shipping vessels as well as a very recent loitering munition drone strike against Tel Aviv.
