Vern Williams, a 12-year Army Infantry Combat Veteran was convicted of threatening a 60-year-old woman who refused to get off his property.
When Williams faced the North Carolina judicial system, his diagnosed PTSD was allegedly used against him in the court of law. In response to his charges of "Standing His Ground", Williams took his anger out against the state of North Carolina and America as a country by burning his dress greens.
Some may consider this a selfish act that will get him nowhere, but if we take a step back and listen to what he has to tell in this footage, it paints a different picture. Williams dedicated 12-years of his life to this uniform, to come back home and be discriminated against for his PTSD acquired while defending the constitutional rights and freedoms we as Americans have.
