Marines on a night time patrol surprise a Taliban hidey hole with a TOW missile. This is definitely a case of If they're still in there, they ain't happy.
Ever seen a fair fight between the United States and the Taliban? That's by design. Mitigating casualties through superior firepower is the name of the game in 21st century warfighting. Why send a platoon of Marines to the mouth of a cave, and then down inside where the Taliban are laying in ambush when you could simply collapse the cave from a kilometer away with a singular BGM-71 TOW missile?
