News reel footage from the fighting in Vietnam shows Marines conducting extensive ground and air operations in the vicinity of hills 861, 881n and 881.
I had a lot of requests for historical combat footage the other day, so I decided it was time to start off-loading some of what I got here to you guys. This footage was recorded during the first Battle of Khe Sanh in April or May of 1967. It shows Marines from a bunch of different units and military occupational specialties coming together to wage combined arms warfare against enemy forces in the vicinity of hills 861, 881n, and 881.
Fun fact: If you use the search feature and type Nowzad, or Backseat IED on our webpage, you can see Marines from this very same rifle company in 2009.
