This footage reveals a development in drone tactics employed by Ukraine’s 63rd Mechanized Brigade. Last year, we commented frequently on the poor quality of Russian field fortifications, particularly the lack of overhead cover. Apparently, someone in the Russian Ministry of Defense is a Fan of Funker530, and in recent months we have seen improvements in Russian fighting positions. Ukrainian drone operators developed solution to improved overhead cover. A ground drone is sent in and detonated to clear the overhead cover, after which an FPV drone darts in and destroys the position. Perhaps next year robots like Johnny Five will just rip enemy cover apart with their little robot hands.
