This compilation of bodycam, vehicle and drone camera footage, provided by the Police Department of Farmington Hills, Michigan, shows their officers taking fire from an armed suspect. While the officers are pinned down by the suspect's rifle fire, a SWAT sniper neutralizes the threat. Viewer discretion is advised. The officers were responding to a domestic incident wherein the suspect, 32-year-old Dejuan Evans, allegedly assaulted a victim and threatened her life in front of her children. Although she fled and called the police, the kids were still inside the home when police arrived. As the video shows, the police make initial contact with Evans, who refuses to show his hands before firing at the cops with what appears to be an AK-pattern rifle. As the officers retreat, Evans fires at the cruisers and the officers using them for cover. The police audibly worry about the safety of the children, not knowing that they escape during the time Evans is firing at the cars. It's worth mentioning that it could have easily gone down with a far more horrible outcome. In any event, we see a drone's-eye view of Evans firing from his front door before he gets dropped by a SWAT sniper. He is currently under guard at a medical facility, charged with three counts of assault with intent to murder, one count of firearm possession while prohibited, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, six counts of felony with a firearm, and domestic violence.
