This footage, from the police in Suprise, Arizona, shows one of their officers responding to a domestic dispute. When he arrives, one of the parties involved raises a shotgun and is shot and killed. This happens extremely quickly and is censored, but viewer discretion is still advised.
The officer was called to the scene by a minor who was concerned about the intensity of his parents' argument. It would appear that the concern did indeed have some gravity, because the officer meets the father, 44-year-old Trinidad Ledesma, with shotgun in hand. He raises it, but the officer reacts quickly, drilling Ledesma with 8 rounds before clearing a malfunction. I've added the video at half speed to better show Ledesma raising the shotgun. Despite the officer rendering aid, Ledesma was pronounced dead on-scene.
While this officer showed great skill and reaction time, and he potentially saved his own life as well as the family's, it's hard not to feel bad for the child in the equation.
