(NSFW) Felon Draws Weapon On Officer During Traffic Stop And Ends Up Dead

Body worn camera and dashcam footage captured by the Villa Hills Police Department shows a critical incident that unfolded on February 20th, 2021, after a convicted felon drew a firearm on police officers during a traffic stop.

Randall Lockaby, a 57-year-old convicted felon in Pennsylvania, was pulled over for a traffic violation on Interstate 75. During the stop, Lockaby was requested by Officer Jacob Bolton and Officer Sean Dooley to exit the vehicle and step toward the rear of the truck. At the initial confrontation, it would appear Lockaby was going to comply with the officers, however things took a turn for the worse.

As he began exiting the truck, Lockaby responded to the officers request by stating "I can't". Seconds later, Lockaby is seen reaching at his waist band with his right hand, where he soon brandished a firearm toward officer Dooley. In a split second decision, officer Dooley smacked Lockaby's gun in a downward motion, while simultaneously repositioning himself behind the truck door. Rounding the front of the truck, officer Dooley broke line of sight from his partner and began engaging Lockaby, striking him multiple times and neutralizing him.

Both responding officers began rendering medical aid to Lockaby until paramedics arrived on the scene. Lockaby was taken to a hospital in Florence, however he was later pronounced deceased.
