This footage, provided by the Colombian military, shows one of the Blackhawk crews delivering a resupply and evacuating a casualty who appears to have possibly stepped on a landmine. Viewer discretion is advised.
While the almost outrageously mundane supplies being delivered (sugar cane, soda, fruit) make it seem more like they're coming back from Costco than in a hot zone, the gunners opening fire indicate that there's quite a bit more than a grocery run going on here. This occured sometime in 2023, supposedly during an operation against FARC rebels. While the main organization disbanded in 2017, there are still active dissident bands.
At 0:52, the cameraman exits the Blackhawk as the supplies are being off-loaded. He has a back board in his hand. He and other troops move a wounded Colombian soldier from a field-expedient board to the purpose-built one he brought with him. The casualty, his face obscured, appears to be missing his right foot and bears a tourniquet below the knee. He has sustained injuries to his left leg as well. They get the casualty loaded onto the helo, and at 01:50, some asshole knocks a rifle onto the wounded man. To be fair, he probably doesn't feel it in the face of everything else, but it's still the last thing he needed.
