This video is a latest in a series which seems to showcase the pro-Ukraine Russian Volunteer Corps as they hammered entrenched and surrounded Russian Armed Forces troops at the Volchansk Aggregate Plant in late September 2024. Having previously been shown using a variety of mines as demo charges, here, we see an RVC troop firing RPO-A "Shmel" thermobaric rockets at the Russian position. This video is NSFW due to the presence of a Russian Armed Forces KIA, which also neatly dispels any suggestion that the RVC weren't actually engaging anyone. The RPO-A "Shmel" ("Bumblebee") is a Soviet-designed, single-use thermobaric rocket launcher, first introduced in 1986. It has an effective range of 20-1000 meters, but is sighted for 600 meters. This weapon system has found its way into the hands of a variety of users, including nations such as Ukraine as well as insurgent and terrorist forces such as PKK in Kurdistan and Hamas.
