(NSFW) Russian ATV Rider Takes Critical Hit From Drone

Brutal footage from a Ukrainian drone unit shows a Russian soldier driving a four-wheeler ATV and sustaining a direct hit by a well-timed drone-dropped munition.

The device lands and detonates on the front of the quad, showering the rider's upper torso and face with shrapnel. The Russian dismounts from the vehicle and begins stripping his gear. Another Russian soldier arrives to render buddy aid.

He exposes the injury, which appears to be a penetrating wound high in the chest or low in the neck. He applies gauze as blood rapidly pours out of the patient. The wound location is seriously life-threatening as a high torso puncture will lead to a rapid onset of tension pneumothorax (collapsed lung, sucking chest wound), and the amount of blood suggests a major vessel, possibly a jugular vein or carotid artery, may have been compromised.
