Thermal footage from the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) "Sparta Battalion" shows the dropping of modified grenades onto Ukrainian fighting positions with a drone. The munitions are accurate and inflict multiple casualties. The exact time and place of the strikes isn't known.
The dirt that has been dug out to make these foxholes and trenches can be used to make overhead cover, but it's not clear why it isn't being done. A sheet of plywood, a scrap car door, or a tarp laid over some sticks can be placed over the narrow trenches and covered in dirt which would provide enough barrier to absorb the blast of these grenades. Adapt, improvise, and overcome.
