(NSFW) UA Soldier Kills Russians at Close Range in South of Bakhmut

A longer version of a previously uploaded video with translation. Helmet cam footage of Ukrainian infantry of the 3rd Assault Brigade bashing their way through the shattered remnants of a village south of Bakhmut. The video opens in a disheveled brick building with the camera operator observing that he will “finish off” ten Russians by the end of the day. The squad advances along a road embankment and engages an enemy soldier in a culvert. They then continue to work their way through a labyrinth of twisted metal and shattered brick, firing at an enemy that is difficult to see. Shortly after rockets screech overhead, enemy infantry can be seen running across the screen from left to right, and the camera operator engages as they complete their rush and take cover. At least one is seen to fall, and the camera operator announces that he hit one in the head and another in the back. There is a brief clip of the squad in a building discussing the engagement, and then the scene cuts to them in the back of a vehicle. It is worth noting that some of them have AR platforms or NATO caliber weapons.

The two-pronged envelopment of Bakhmut continues at a glacial pace, though the rate of advance has accelerated slightly in recent weeks. The Ukrainian Army has slowed its roll in order to reduce casualties while the Russian Army crams units piecemeal into the fray. The operational effect is that Russian regiments are fixed in place and ground into a bloody mess, permitting Ukrainian progress on the southern front.
