Footage reportedly from the Kreminna front in Ukraine's eastern Luhansk region shows Ukrainian medics treating wounded soldiers, including a man with a significant blast injury to his lower back.
The casualty is "lucky" that the bleeding is controlled, but he is still suffering from a life-threatening injury. There appears to be significant tissue damage as well as penetrating trauma. The medics expose the wound and immediately begin flushing it with a sanitizing fluid to lower the risk of infection. They then "pack" the wound by feeding gauze into the injury, a process that promotes clotting. They then snugly wrap an Israeli bandage around his body to keep the packing material in the wound and protect the injury from outside contamination. The next order of business will be to rapidly get this wounded soldier to a higher level of care.
The footage ends with additional clips of the aid team going mobile and treating less serious injuries with intravenous fluid resuscitation.
