Helmet cam footage documents the moment a Ukrainian soldiers blows part of his foot off by stepping on an unseen landmine.
The exact context of this footage isn't known, but it appears the Ukrainian troops dismounted from an armored personnel carrier near a Russian position for a direct assault. The type of mine isn't clear, possibly a scatterable butterfly - toe popper style device.
The cameraman repeatedly shrieks in pain and fear as he sees his injury. His buddies are not able to help him, as they must first clear the area of enemy forces. It's likely that they are now being much more selective of where they step.
