(NSFW) Woman Attacks LAPD with Dumbbell, Shot By 40mm, TASER and Bullets

This compilation of security camera, bodycam and dashcam footage depicts a woman assaulting bystanders and police with a deadly weapon, as well as the immediate consequences of that decision. Viewer discretion is advised.

After a recording of one of several calls placed about the suspect, we see the suspect, 35-year old Jessica Brown, to the left of a security camera's feed. At 01:40, she suddenly and indiscriminately hits a bystander in the head with a metal bar, later identified as a dumbbell bar. At 01:47, a camera positioned outside the coffee shop records the same incident. Brown doesn't even break stride. At 02: 03, an LAPD officer responding to the calls about Brown interviews a witness. Presumably because of the nature of the crime, the witness assumes the suspect is male.

At 02:54, a police officer armed with a 40mm non-lethal launcher responds to the incident that was previously recorded. A witness points him down the street to a gas station. He hands the 40mm off to another officer and pursues Brown, pushing past a bystander. At 03:25, he presents his handgun, admonishing Brown to drop the "pipe." Again, Brown refuses to break stride, heading straight for the officer. The officer now wielding the 40mm fires at 03:29, but Brown continues undaunted, charging at 03:33. As the officer fires his handgun in self defense, another officer simultaneously deploys a TASER. Despite the fact that Brown has already hit the ground, the TASER ticks off, causing the suspect's legs to spasm at 03:41.

After a slowed version of the designated lethal officer's footage, which shows Brown attacking, the officer firing and his partner deploying the TASER in the same instant, we see footage from the perspective of the officers with the 400millimeter and then the TASER. At 05:21, we see the officers rendering aid from body-worn and dashboard cameras. Despite their efforts, Jessica Brown was declared deceased at the hospital. Although she assaulted a total of 4 people, no officers were harmed.
