Palestinian resistance fighters in masks are seen firing on Israeli troops conducting an operation to arrest a terror suspect near a refugee camp in Jenin.
During a raid by the IDF to arrest a suspected terrorist in the Jenin region, Islamic Jihad spokesperson Tariq Izz al-Din put out a call to action on Twitter demanding that Palestinian people in the area with the ability to fight rush to defend a nearby refugee camp. This resulted in a massive gunfight between the IDF and armed Palestinians wearing black masks that resulted in 13 wounded Palestinians, and one dead IDF Special Police Commando.
Daoud Zubaidi, one of the wounded Palestinians, is the brother of Zakaria Zubeidi, a convicted terror leader who last year escaped from Gilboa Prison for a week before being recaptured. Zubaidi was transported to a nearby Israeli medical center where he is listed to be in critical condition. The other twelve injured Palestinians are still unknown, however this event occurred just days after Shireen Abu Akleh, a prominent al-Jazeera reporter, was killed in clashes that resulted in 19 deaths.
