POV cell phone footage released by Ukrainian forces shows the perspective of a Ukrainian Platoon Commander using his radio as a weapon system for the duration of an assault on his position. It's an important and rarely witnessed perspective that proves the high you climb in the chain of command, the less you need a rifle at your side during a fight.
The further you climb in the ranks of the military, the less and less you will need to shoot your own weapon. Pretty much from the time you are a squad leader and up, your head will be fully out of the optic of your rifle and directly behind the troops in your charge. This video is a great example of how leaders fight their platoons and squads instead of their own individual rifles.
