Russian Infantry Assault Captures Ukrainian Trench

Helmet cam firefight footage from a Russian infantry squad shows an assault against a Ukrainian trench network in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka, southwest of Donetsk city.

The Russians use armored personnel carriers to deliver them to the objective area and dismount in the end of the trench. Immediately they attempt to gain fire superiority with hand grenades and heavy volumes of rifle fire. They successfully capture the position.

As Western military aid has slowed to a trickle, Ukrainian troops are forced to ration ammo and equipment, and the result is a slow but constant loss of ground along the eastern Ukraine front.
