Russian Infantry Attempt to Shoot Down Thermite Drone

This footage shows a Ukrainian thermite drone torching a copse of trees which in which Russian soldiers are hidden. The air around the drone gets thick with tracers as the soldiers attempt, and fail, to shoot the drone down. A fairly common theme in my blogging of the Russo-Ukrainian war, and of the war itself, is how frightening drones have become. On both sides of the war, the hum of rotors will tax veterans of their peace of mind for years to come, and this conflict, along with other contemporary battlefields, paints a grim picture of the future of war. And that was before drones started dumping fire into the trees like some sort of anomaly from Stalker. Perhaps the Russians were wrong to give away their positions by firing on the drone, but I can certainly understand resolve and logic failing in the face of one of the most deep-seated instinctive fears found in practically every land-dwelling creature on Earth.
