Russian Ships Launch Cruise Missiles

Russian footage of Kalibr cruise missile launched from Russian Navy vessels in the Black Sea. Early Monday, Russia bombarded Ukraine with over 100 missiles and a similar number of drones in one of the largest such attacks of the war. The attack targeted civilian infrastructure, with a particular focus on Ukraine’s energy grid. Though most of the incoming projectiles were destroyed by anti-air systems, some inevitable leaked through, killing several people and inflicting enough damage to cause disruptions in Ukraine’s power grid. Though Ukraine has managed to neutralize Russia’s Black Sea fleet for much of the war, their heavier vessels remain close enough to launch weapons like the Kalibr.
