Russian officials confirmed witness footage showing a Tu-22 strategic bomber burning out of the sky and crashing in the Irkutsk region of Siberia. The officials further claimed that a technical malfunction caused the plane to catch fire and crash, and that four crew members were on board but safely exited the aircraft with parachutes. The plane crashed in an uninhabited area causing no death, damage, or injury.
