A convoy of U.S. Soldiers hits an improvised explosive device while travelling down the road in Iraq.
Improvised Explosive Devices changed the face of war forever during the Global War on Terror. Much like booby traps in Vietnam, when we first encountered them they were an entirely new thing that no one really thought would ever become a massive threat. Move forward in time four years, and every unit worth its salt going down range was spending weeks of their lives dedicated to countering just that one insurgent weapon system.
In this video, a group of soldiers react to an improvised explosive device attack on their convoy.
