A Soldier on patrol with a group of Special Operations troops finds himself the target of an enemy ambush while he stands in the open to take a leak. They return fire with a minigun.
In war, just about anything goes. There are very few actual rules in combat, and the ones that are written and that do exist are more like guidelines than actual rules. That said, there are still unwritten rules you simply shouldn't break, like, you shouldn't shoot a man who is using the bathroom. Not only is it unethical, it's also kind of gross because you have to sit there and watch a man use the restroom before you open fire on him. Then, all of that bodily waste tends to just go everywhere if you miss and the guy tries to run for cover while his body is still doing the deed or expelling waste.
In this video, the Taliban obviously didn't follow that unwritten rule, which is odd because you'd think the unwritten rules are the only ones the Taliban would actually understand since an overwhelming majority of them can't read. If they had just let the guy finish his trip to the restroom before initiating their ambush, they may not have immediately been met with an overwhelming amount of return fire from a single Soldier behind a minigun.
Ahh who am I kidding. They would have gotten the bullet-hose either way. This video was recorded by a regular line company infantryman attached to a Special Operations platoon in Afghanistan somewhere between 2011 and 2013. We don't have the exact dates, nor do we know the names of any units involved. If you know anyone associated with this footage, please have them reach out to us, we'd love to hear the full story.
