Veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom will connect with this video on an extremely deep level. It was hot in Afghanistan, but there was only pavement in your area of operations in a few places.
I will never in my life forget how hot it gets in Iraq during the summer. The 130 degree weather in that entire country can seriously go pound some sand. There's only one adequate means of describing the heat in Iraq, and it involves you getting out of your chair.
Go into your bathroom right now. Grab your wife or girlfriend's hair dryer, turn it on full blast, and then just hold it up to your face for about an hour. Now, imagine that there's absolutely no where you can go to escape that feeling, and you're wearing 70 to 90 pounds of equipment on top of body armor that refuses to let any of your body heat escape. Oh, and put on a helmet too. Wouldn't want to get shot in the head now, would you?
