Ukrainian Anti-Air Hammers Russians in Donetsk, Oct. 2023

This footage depicts the Ukrainian 56th Motorized Brigade utilizing automatic anti-aircraft weaponry to pummel Russian positions. They appear to be using a drone as a spotter. This reportedly occurred near the village of Pervomaiske, in the Donetsk region.

The AZP S-60 autocannon depicted here has been in service since the 1950s, and as such has seen service in practically every major war/conflict since then. It fires 57mm rounds at a sustained rate of 70 rpm, and boasts a range of 4000 meters by eyeball and 6000 meters when radar guided. It is unclear where the range falls when guided by drone.

The twin-barrelled, 23mm ZU-23-2 is also a Soviet design which has been in use since the 1960s by a plethora of users in myriad conflicts. While it has a cyclic fire rate of 2000 rpm, in practical use it averages 400 rpm per cannon.

No matter what army, no matter what conflict in the last 50 years, I wouldn't want to be on the side weathering that storm.
