Drone video released by Russian sources captures the moment a Ukrainian drone unit was compromised while moving into a building they were using for operations near Kherson. Shortly after they occupy the building a Russian Light Multipurpose Guided Rocket is fired into the house causing it to collapse entirely. While we can't independently verify that the drone team was inside of the building at the time of the strike, the Russians are claiming that the team was eliminated.
One thing that drone operators could be learning from their counter-parts in other scout-based occupations is the how to properly move into a hide-site. Becoming compromised in one of these fields is an immediate problem, and these drone operators don't seem like they have ever been taught the basics of occupying a new hide site for operations.
If the enemy knows where you are, it negates the effectiveness of your surveillance, and puts your entire unit at risk of being attacked. Scout teams are often smaller and more lightly armed than full conventional based infantry units, and they're also a far higher priority target due to their ability to influence the battlespace through both reconnaissance and harassment. As a result, the utilization of stealth is of the utmost importance when occupying a site for operations such as this.
