Ukrainian special operations forces (SSO) released thermal footage from an amphibious raid onto the Russian-held Crimean peninsula.

The footage was released on Oct. 4, 2023, but the actual date of the operation wasn't disclosed. It's possible the footage is from the raid on Tarkhankut Peninsula, the westernmost portion of Crimea, which occurred in late August.

The Ukrainian military acknowledged troop losses during the assault, but claimed the amount of Russians killed was far greater.
