A Ukrainian soldier is giving a situation report of the battlefield when his position is struck by a powerful blast that can be seen erupting in the background. A few seconds before the blast, the weapon system from which the round originated can be heard firing. Based on the short amount of time between shot and splash, it wasn't a mortar. It may have been a tank's main gun, an AT gun, recoilless, or even a howitzer engaging in direct fire mode. The resulting injuries from the incident cannot be determined from the footage.
