Update: Ukrainian Farmer's Brigade Reaping Late Harvest

Cell phone video released by the Elite Ukrainian Farmer's Brigade shows a T-72 being harvested near Kharkiv very late into the tank harvesting season.

It's been a while since we've seen footage like this. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's not because it hasn't been happening, but because the farmer's have been too busy recovering scrap to post their harvest to social media, and because the posts have been getting pushed down farther in algorithms on social media platforms.

At the beginning of the conflict, seeing Ukrainian farmers towing abandoned or destroyed Russian equipment was fairly common. This is because the conflict was still new and people were more invested in the human element of the conflict. As the war has dragged on into the later months of the year however, people have become less interested in the individual stories of the every day Ukrainian civilian and are now only paying attention to the conflict for major developments.

While this is not a major development, this video is a reminder that the average every day Ukrainian in places like Kharkiv are still very much involve with the Ukrainian war effort. This T-72 will likely be repaired by Ukrainian forces, given a new coat of paint, and then get shipped right back to the front on the Ukrainian side of the war.
