US Navy Ship Runs Aground In Middle East

The USNS Big Horn ran aground off the coast of Oman. The rudder is damaged and the vessel is taking on water. The ship is a Kaiser-class oiler, and the primary fuel source for the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group. The strike group was recently ordered to the region in the face of escalating conflict between Israel and Iranian-backed groups. It is being reported that the Big Horn is being towed to Dubai for repairs. Less than a year ago, the DOD raised the alarm about a shortage of tankers within the fleet, concerned that the US could not support a massive naval wartime commitment.
